Luna 3d printed bike
Luna 3D Printed Concept Bicycle
Luna 3d printed bike is designed by Omer Sagiv. The idea behind it is to utilize 3d print SLS technology. The ability to customize and make design changes without a tooling investment is a big advantage with 3d printed bike frames. Luna features a unique form that uses the strength and durability of nylon. The hexagon frame allows minimal surface area for a strong light structure. Bike is printed on demand.
Selective laser sintering (otherwise known as SLS) is an additive manufacturing technology that has multiple benefits. The process works by converting 3D data into layers of material that will be compiled on top of one another according to the necessary specifications. The 3d printed parts are lightweight, highly durable, and heat and chemical resistant.
Luna 3D printed bicycle, a clever and futuristic ensemble of solid 3D printed parts and regular bicycle components (specifically, wheels and a few mechanism parts) that aims to be as flexible and repairable as possible without taking up storage space.
3d printed are nylon frame, front fork, and handle bar, and the rest of the components are off the shelf to keep costs down.
