V8 Wet Rod

Personal water craft V8 Wet Rod

In development by Strand Craft, Wet Rod will feature a 16-foot (4.9-m) carbon fiber/epoxy body powered by a 300-hp 5.7-liter V8 engine. Its water jet propulsion system will reportedly take it up to a top speed of 65 mph (105 km/h). It is remarkably light for its size.

Strand Craft’s founder, Kurt Strand, partnered with a variety of professional PWC riders to develop the V8 Wet Rod. The speed is in line with what some well known PWC models deliver. Other specifications are further complementary. Strand says that the PWC’s dry weight will be 1,500 pounds. Load capacity will be 600 pounds. The V8 Wet Rod will carry 30 gallons of fuel, too.
